The elderly that defy all plans for their elimination.
God's creation is defiant. God 10, Satan Nil.
Whilst the focus is on a world gone mad, gone bad, so sad, I'd like to say something about the plucky elderly that refuse to die. I actually see it all the time and it brings hope and sheer delight. I'm not talking about the awake elderly, for whom my heart bleeds, in particular. This is because they know and are not able to do anything about it, in their greatest time of need. It is our responsibility to help them. I'm talking about the resilience of so many elderly people around me. It is miraculous. Stabbed with multiple jabs but still here. Neglected by social care. NHS protocols set to end them, limited pensions, huge heating bills, but still they fight on. They spit in the face of the philanthropaths and the elitist Killbillies by surviving.
Here are just a few. (Names changed).
Bertha came into the café and cried in my arms. "I've just had my jab", she sobbed. "It's so sore. Something is wrong this time". Of course, I seethed internally. As I hugged her, I said, "Why did you have it, you know they don't work?". "They sent me the appointment", she said. Bertha was in hospital within days. She kept collapsing. Bertha deteriorated so badly that her friend said that she was dying. That was a year ago. Last week, I glanced through the window of a café in town. I stopped dead in my tracks. Bertha? She saw me and came out. I hugged her with absolute joy. Last week, I met her shopping in Lidl with her daughter. Praise be to God's creation! God 10: Satan nil.
Then there's plucky Jill. She lives in an assisted living complex. Every day she met with her similarly aged friends at the café. Jill was so mobile and healthy in comparison, until.... she ended up in ICU with a heart attack. Jibby jabs, I suspect. Two weeks after being released back to the flats, I met her with her using a new walker in town. Jill refused to give up. Still meets her friends daily, so what if she's slower now and has to sit down to rest. Jill, you're inspirational. God 10: Satan nil.
Dorothea was misunderstood by most. I did spend time talking to her. She told me that the NHS had killed her husband. She showed me her swollen legs. "Does that look right to you?", she asked. Of course not. Dorothea was a bit of a complaining person but, who can judge until you've lived their life? I heard that she'd been found collapsed in her home. She wore a coat inside. No heating because she wanted to leave her son something. No winter fuel allowance last year. But hey, Dorothea survived!! I see her most days now. God 10: Satan nil.
Abigail and Cedric are in their 90s. I've known them since my youth. I am in awe of these two!!! She's has a supposedly incurable heart condition. He's nearly 95 and a carer! Of course there are tiffs. But wow. Resilience deluxe. I am so proud of them! God 10: Satan nil.
There's Mum, the pluckiest person I know! How I admire her. She defied death at the hands of the NHS, survived the transition to a care home. Seldom complains, though stuck in her bed. Dementia, but unjabbed. Her faith is still strong. Hallelujah! 98 in October. God 10: Satan nil.
I have a number of other examples. Let's face it. God's creation is amazing. His creation pushes on to survive. Satan is so feeble. A one act play as it only knows destruction.
Let's not only focus on the victories of those without souls. God's creation is a victory in itself.
Seriously, be hard to kill!!
!

Absolutely ''Let's face it. God's creation is amazing. His creation pushes on to survive. ''
LOVE wins every time! Great post, Karin, very inspirational! Flip it on its side, We must stop focusing on the darkness, and look at the beauty and light in the souls that are all around us... and be their strength by highlighting theirs.
